HFH of Lake County Ohio is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization.

Working together, we help families choose a building lot, a simple house plan, and all the finishes. Then we rally the volunteers, often family and friends of the future homeowners along with individuals and teams from the surrounding community. Our professional construction supervisors make sure the work is done right so the family can enjoy their new home for years to come.
We're proud of what we've accomplished but mostly, we're proud of our families. After all, they're the ones who put in 300 to 500 volunteer hours while holding down a job, saving a down payment and attending the required home maintenance classes. That's after they've worked through the screening process. For some it's a three year journey from filling out the first forms to cutting the ribbon on their new home.
That kind of dedication should be celebrated so we throw the first party in every new house completed with a church dedication and a cake. We want to make sure our families start out Right!
